Terms of Use

PawRelay is operated by Karan Gandhi (PawRelay, we, us). These Terms govern the PawRelay app and companion website in India. Read them together with our Privacy Policy and Community Rules. Creating an account and accepting these Terms forms an electronic agreement. Merely viewing a public page does not authorize us to send promotional notifications.

1. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract under Indian law to hold an account. Do not create accounts for children or upload children's personal information. A person acting for a business or household must have the authority they claim. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your submissions and for keeping account access secure.

Do not impersonate another person, share sign-in codes, transfer an account without permission, or misrepresent ownership of a pet or business. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may request proportionate evidence to resolve an ownership or authorization dispute.

2. What the service provides

PawRelay helps organize pet care, household access, community posts, playdates, requests for local help, lost-and-found reports and a pet-service directory. It is a software and information platform. A listing, matching result, approval, badge or user response is not a guarantee of competence, identity, licensing, safety, availability or suitability.

PawRelay does not provide veterinary diagnosis, prescriptions, medicine dosage calculations, emergency dispatch, rescue services, pet transport or insurance. Contact a qualified veterinarian or the appropriate emergency service directly in an emergency. Never delay treatment because of content or a reminder in the app.

3. Care records and Pet Passports

You must check the accuracy of care instructions, appointments, uploaded documents and recurring schedules. Device settings, network failures, power management and third-party outages can delay or prevent notifications. Keep an independent reminder for critical treatment and follow the treating veterinarian's instructions.

The Pet Passport is a convenient PDF of information supplied to PawRelay. It is not a government-issued passport, proof of ownership, veterinary certificate, vaccination verification or authorization to travel. Independently obtain all certificates required by a veterinarian, airline or authority. Exporting and sharing a Passport can disclose its contents outside PawRelay; review the selected private fields and intended recipients first.

4. Household access and privacy

Owners choose which care-circle members can see or change a pet's records. Grant only the access that is needed, review it periodically and revoke it when the arrangement ends. Access inside PawRelay does not create employment, agency, custody or a veterinary relationship.

Publish only contact details and approximate or public locations you are entitled to disclose. Do not publish home addresses, private medical records, identity documents, private claim evidence or another person's confidential information. A recipient may retain material already downloaded or shared before access is revoked.

5. Community, playdates and Relay help

You are responsible for assessing the people, animals, venues and arrangements you choose. Meet in suitable public places, supervise animals, obtain necessary consent and comply with applicable animal-welfare and local rules. PawRelay does not supervise meetings, undertake background checks on every user or guarantee assistance or recovery of a lost pet.

Relay Requests do not support fundraising or payment processing. Do not use the platform to demand advance payments, disclose banking credentials, run scams or sell illegal goods or services. Resolve private service arrangements directly with the relevant provider. Report unsafe conduct using the in-app reporting controls.

6. Directory listings and business claims

Directory information may come from businesses, community submissions and published business information. Confirm addresses, hours, prices, species served, professional credentials and emergency capabilities directly before relying on a listing. Information may become outdated despite review.

An approved listing is permitted to appear in the directory. Unclaimed means no business owner has completed the claiming process. Neither approval nor a claim is an endorsement, guarantee or assurance that a licence is current. Business claiming remains separate from submitting a listing.

A claimant must have genuine authority and submit accurate evidence. Business owners must keep their information lawful and current and must not upload another person's private documents without authority. We may reject, suspend or revoke claims where authority cannot be established or abuse occurs. Listing corrections and ownership disputes can be reported to support.

7. Reviews, offers and paid features

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. Do not buy, fabricate, threaten to remove or manipulate reviews, and disclose material relationships where relevant. Businesses may respond to reviews but cannot remove criticism merely because it is unfavorable.

Any offer is subject to the provider's clearly stated conditions. PawRelay does not currently collect payments for Relay help or act as a seller of third-party services. If paid PawRelay features are introduced, their pricing, taxes, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be presented for separate acceptance before purchase. No fee or subscription is created by these Terms alone.

8. Your content and our limited licence

You retain your rights in your content. You grant PawRelay a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, resize, compress, display, transmit and otherwise process it only to operate the service, honor your settings and sharing choices, maintain security, handle complaints and meet legal duties. We may use processors for those purposes. This licence does not authorize us to use private pet records or private documents in advertising.

You must hold the rights and permissions needed for what you upload. You remain responsible for its legality and accuracy. Deleting content ends this operational licence when removal completes, subject to content already lawfully shared, reasonable backup cycles and limited retention required for legal or safety purposes. Rights in PawRelay's software, original branding and interface remain with their owners.

9. Prohibited activity

Do not upload unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, sexually exploitative, defamatory, fraudulent or infringing content. Do not expose private information, create deceptive impersonations or mislead people with fabricated emergencies, manipulated evidence or false claims of professional authority. Clearly disclose material synthetic or altered content where required and never use it to deceive.

Do not promote animal cruelty, illegal breeding, illegal wildlife trade, prohibited animal sales, unauthorized medicines or dangerous treatment instructions. Comply with applicable Indian animal-welfare, wildlife, municipal and professional requirements.

Do not bypass permissions, access controls, rate limits or upload limits, interfere with security, distribute malware, scrape private information, harvest contact details, spam members, exploit other users or use automated accounts to manipulate the platform. Good-faith security findings may be reported privately to support.

10. Uploaded files

Supported user uploads are limited to 2 MB after image compression. Photos may be resized, compressed and stripped of embedded metadata. Keep original files independently, particularly medical records. You must not depend on PawRelay as your only archive. File restrictions, malware checks and access controls may prevent a file from being accepted or previewed.

11. Notifications and communications

You control notification categories and device permission. Optional care check-ins and local digests require a separate opt-in and may be turned off in Profile, Notifications. They are limited in frequency and observe local quiet hours. Turning them off does not cancel care tasks or change another member's choices.

Account security, service, legal and moderation communications may remain available in the app or by an appropriate contact method when needed to operate the service or comply with law. We do not treat acceptance of these Terms as consent to unrelated advertising.

12. Moderation and grievance redressal

We may investigate reports, request clarification, restrict distribution, remove unlawful or harmful content, suspend access or revoke a business claim where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or comply with law. Where practicable and lawful, we will explain the action and provide a way to request review. Urgent safety or legal action may precede notice.

Send grievances to Karan Gandhi, PawRelay operator, at maxsinner@gmail.com with the subject PawRelay grievance. Identify the content or account, explain the issue and provide a safe way to contact you. In-app reporting is also available. Do not send unnecessary sensitive documents by email. We acknowledge and handle complaints within applicable statutory timelines, including expedited procedures for sensitive content and lawful directions. Applicable statutory and grievance-appellate remedies remain available.

13. Availability and third-party services

We take reasonable measures to operate and secure PawRelay, but availability and error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Features can change, be limited or temporarily interrupted for maintenance, safety or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Third-party websites, operating systems, service providers and businesses have their own terms and privacy practices. An external link does not mean endorsement.

14. Responsibility and limits

To the extent Indian law permits, PawRelay is provided as available without additional implied promises about third-party content, successful matching, animal health, lost-pet recovery or business performance. You must independently assess decisions based on that content.

To the extent legally permitted, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or opportunities arising from third-party dealings or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. For contractual claims concerning a paid PawRelay service, any applicable monetary limitation must be stated in the separately accepted paid-service terms. These Terms do not impose a blanket waiver of remedies for the free service.

Nothing excludes or restricts liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence or breach where exclusion would be unlawful, or any non-waivable consumer, privacy or other statutory right. No clause requires you to waive access to a consumer commission, competent court, regulator or applicable grievance process.

15. Business responsibility for third-party claims

A business user is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for proven third-party claims and reasonable direct costs caused by that user's unlawful content, infringement or material misrepresentation of authority. We will give prompt notice where lawful, allow a reasonable opportunity to respond and mitigate loss. This clause does not transfer responsibility for PawRelay's own wrongful acts to you and does not impose a consumer penalty.

16. Ending use and data requests

You can stop using PawRelay, export supported account data and request account deletion through Profile, Your data. Our Privacy Policy explains information handling and limited retention. Legal, security and dispute obligations may require preservation of particular records; public information already saved independently by others may remain outside our control.

Termination does not remove rights or responsibilities that accrued before termination, or provisions that reasonably need to survive, such as lawful record retention, intellectual property, responsibility for prior conduct and dispute resolution.

17. Indian law and disputes

Indian law governs these Terms. Contact support first if you wish to attempt an informal resolution, but doing so is not a mandatory barrier to an urgent or statutory remedy. Subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules and your statutory rights, disputes may be brought before a competent court in India. These Terms do not impose compulsory private arbitration, an overseas forum or a waiver of collective or consumer remedies.

18. Changes, interpretation and contact

We will publish a version and effective date when these Terms change. Material changes will be brought to your attention and renewed acceptance requested where appropriate. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued statutory rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as lawful. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Rules and any separately accepted feature terms form the relevant agreement for your use. Feature-specific terms apply only to that feature and cannot override mandatory law. General, legal and accessibility questions may be sent to maxsinner@gmail.com.
